Treaty of Versailles (changed the world forever): •Signed June 28th, 1919 •Germany forced to pay $33 billion dollars in reparations over 30 years •War Guilt Clause- all blame WWI placed on the shoulders of Germany •Germany gives France Alsace-Lorraine back •Germany gives up all overseas colonies in Africa and the Pacific •Germany is prohibited from building or buying subs, cannot have an air force, and the army size was vastly reduced •The League of Nations was created to bring peace to Europe (United States does not join)
