In the beginning, the animals on Manor Farm are like any other farm animal of England. Working for the farmer and letting humans take the products and things produced by the animal. Finally the pigs start making a plan a decide to overthrow humans and run things on their own. After they have the farm to themselves and have newly appointed leaders and such, things start to take shape. Like in the Soviet Union, the animals start out with a weak and corrupt government, they then have a communist revolution and things start looking up. “Snowball” and “Napoleon” have become obvious leaders and sort of start to take roles mirroring “Leon Trotsky” (Snowball), the lesser leader of the newly formed USSR, and of course “Joseph Stalin” (Napoleon), the highest ranking communist president. After this, the ‘Battle of Cowshed’ happens, in which the people of the farm try to come back and take over again. Snowball gains great respect after being wounded but still fighting until the end. Then Napoleon starts to see Snowball as a threat and decides to change that problem. He builds up a secret police of puppies that were taken away from their mom at an early age. Meanwhile, Snowball and the rest of the animals use propaganda of sayings and rules that they must follow. “The 7 Commandments” are constructed and used daily by saying any animal is good, while any human is bad. Napoleon unleashes his secret police on Snowball and run him off the farm. All his ideas and things he had created were to be destroyed. This is very similar in what Stalin did to Trotsky, run him out of the country to Mexico in exile. After Napoleon had taken over and made it a very communist, one way farm. Things are changed and anyone out of place is punished. The animals decide that this is not what they really wanted but because it is still better then humans running things. Napoleon had eventually got in contact with humans so that they could sell things off of the farm in exchange for things they needed. The animals were anxious about dealing with humans but trusted their leader and didn’t question the fact. Planning's with the humans did not go well with everyone, but the lesser pigs had helped calm them and remind them it wasn’t a problem. Snowball was said to have returned to do some damage on the farm and destroy things. Some people believed this others did not. All in all things worked out, the animals had decided that their leader had made his ways and usually tried to help the animals.
